| 1ST INTERNATIONAL HALKIDIKI CYCLE RACE A new race is breaking into the international cycling scene. The 1st International Halkidiki Cycle Race is a new event aiming not only to showcase one of the most pleasant and accessible sports for the average person, but also to promote Halkidiki as the ideal setting for cycle racing.
The 1st International Halkidiki Cycle Race will take place between 8 and 11 May 2008. The race covers a distance of 610 kilometres, with 4 category 2.2 stages. Athletes and spectators are promised a well-organised, top quality event and a great experience with the area's perfect weather conditions and natural beauty, its well-tarmaced, safe road network and excellent tourist facilities.
